Hello.Kruger!
KRUGER’S RETREAT
Kruger’s Retreat consists of a luxurious main bedroom, modern kitchen and spacious lounge with sleeper couch, leading onto an airy ‘stoep’ overlooking parkland with built-in braai facilities and a delightful splash pool. Attached to Kruger’s Retreat is Kruger’s Rest – a small luxury studio, which can also be hired to make it a 6 sleeper. Alternatively, both units can be rented out individually, but utmost care has been taken to keep the two units private.

The Exterior
The house has been carefully situated in the shade of two majestic marula trees, one male and the other a fruit bearing female. Hear the marula fruit ‘plop’ down, but leave them there; the kudu will be around soon to eat them right by the patio.
Spend some time in the evenings on the ‘stoep’ and hear ‘Fluffy’, Marloth Parks’s own lion roar not 500 metres away when he patrols his territory in Lions’ Spruit, Marloth Park’s own game reserve.
The spacious lounge leads onto an airy stoep with built-in braai facilities and a delightful splash pool.
September 2021
Just what we needed for our 4 day breakaway! The cottage had everything we could want, with a warm feeling of the African Bush. We loved the waterhole which drew the attention of many animals, including warthogs, zebras, wildebeest and a variety of buck, some of whom were eating out of our hands, along with a bunch of hungry zebras. Driving around Marloth Park, we spotted kudu and giraffes. As a bonus, there’s a lovely lookout point, with a view over the Kruger National Park. Hello Kruger Hideaway Cottage is delightful for young and old alike and we thank Emile and Nikita for a great time, as well as your regular whatsapp updates on animal activity in the Park. We’ll be back!

Kruger’s Retreat is within 10 minutes’ walk from the Crocodile River. Walk along the fence to the Bee Eater Bird Hide, where elephant can come within 10 metres while grazing on the banks of the river. Lions, wild dogs, rhinos, and a plethora of buck species are daily seen across the river and the birds, oh, the birds. This is a bird watchers paradise.
Even though Kruger’s Rest and Kruger’s Retreat are attached every care has been taken to create a comfortable, entirely private space, inside and outside, for two people to enjoy the magnificent wildlife experience only South Africa has to offer.
Come escape here to the African Bushveld, get away from the hustle and bustle of the cities, and unwind at Kruger’s Retreat.
